Commissioned Bronze Statues and Sculptures

A Selection of Bespoke Commissioned Bronze Statues & Sculptures Created by Escar UK Bronze

Commissioned Hollow-Cast Bronze Statues and Sculptures both UK and Worlwide

Escar UK Bronze creates bespoke hollow-cast bronze statues and sculptures for public organisations, businesses, families and private clients throughout the UK

Every commission begins with an individual idea. It may commemorate a person, celebrate an achievement, recreate a much-loved animal or provide a distinctive sculpture for a public or private setting

We work closely with each client from the initial discussion through design, modelling, casting and patination. Where required, we can also assist with delivery and final installation

How Do I Commission a Bespoke Bronze Sculpture?

The first step is to contact Escar UK Bronze and explain what you would like the finished sculpture to represent

We will discuss the intended subject, size, setting and purpose of the commission. Photographs, drawings, measurements and other reference material can help establish the design and character of the proposed sculpture

We also consider its intended location. A sculpture created for a garden, memorial site or public space may require different proportions, foundations and fixings from one displayed indoors

Once the initial requirements have been agreed, the design and modelling process can begin

What Types of Bronze Statues Can Be Commissioned?

Escar UK Bronze can undertake public and private bronze sculpture commissions in many subjects and sizes

Previous projects have included portrait statues, commemorative figures, public monuments, memorial sculptures and representations of notable people. We have also produced bespoke animal sculptures, family groups and individual works for homes, gardens and businesses

A commissioned sculpture can mark an anniversary, preserve an important memory or recognise someone’s contribution to a community or organisation

Each project is developed around the client’s purpose rather than adapted from a standard design

How Is a Commissioned Bronze Sculpture Created?

A commissioned bronze sculpture develops through several carefully managed stages

The process normally begins with research, reference material and preliminary design work. The sculptor then creates the original model, capturing the required pose, proportions, expression and individual details

The client can review the developing sculpture before the design receives final approval

Skilled foundry craftsmen then reproduce the approved model in bronze using the traditional Lost Wax Bronze Casting process. Larger sculptures may be cast in several sections before being welded, chased and finished

Finally, the sculpture receives its chosen patina. This hand-applied finish gives the bronze its colour, depth and individual character

How Much Does a Commissioned Bronze Statue Cost?

The cost of commissioning a bronze statue depends on the size, complexity and individual requirements of the project

Design and modelling work, mould production, bronze casting, finishing and patination all contribute to the final quotation. Additional considerations may include the base, structural fixings, transportation and installation

Because every commission is different, we provide an individual quotation after discussing the proposed sculpture and its intended location

Contacting us with an approximate size, subject and available reference material will help us assess the project accurately

How Much Does a Commissioned Bronze Statue Cost?

The time required depends on the scale and complexity of the sculpture

Research, design approval, modelling, mould-making and bronze casting must all be completed carefully. Larger public statues and detailed portrait commissions naturally require more time than smaller private works

Installation requirements and a fixed unveiling date may also affect the project schedule

We will discuss the likely timescale after reviewing the initial brief. Clients working towards an anniversary, opening ceremony or public event should contact us as early as possible
