Expertly crafted using the traditional Lost Wax Bronze Casting method, this hollow cast bronze sculpture showcases the exceptional quality and craftsmanship for which Escar UK Bronze is renowned. Every detail has been carefully sculpted to preserve the sleek forms of the otters, the textured bark of the log and the natural movement that brings the composition to life
Finished with a rich brown patination and subtle highlights, the carefully applied colouring enhances the depth, texture and lifelike appearance of both the otters and the woodland log. The balanced composition creates a wonderful sense of movement while celebrating the beauty and harmony of Britain’s native waterways
Measuring approximately 75cm high x 46cm wide x 120cm long and weighing around 40 kilos, this impressive bronze sculpture provides a striking focal point for gardens, waterside settings, conservatories and interior displays. Its substantial proportions make it equally suitable as a standalone feature or as part of a larger collection of wildlife bronze sculptures.
Combining traditional bronze craftsmanship with an authentic portrayal of one of Britain’s best-loved native mammals, the Two British Otters on a Log Bronze Sculpture offers timeless appeal and lasting enjoyment. It is an exceptional choice for wildlife enthusiasts, bronze collectors and anyone who appreciates finely handcrafted bronze art.
How does the log bring the two bronze otters together in one scene?
The log gives both otters a shared setting and connects their positions into one wildlife scene. Its bark texture contrasts with their sleek bodies, helping distinguish the support from the animals. An open view along the approximately 120cm-long group allows the interaction between the otters to remain clear.
