This impressive life-size sculpture is inspired by the celebrated zinc-cast winged horse that stands proudly within the magnificent Italianate Gardens of the Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry, Republic of Ireland. Beautifully reimagined in bronze, John’s interpretation captures the strength, grace and timeless symbolism of the mythical Pegasus.
Expertly crafted using the traditional Lost Wax Bronze Casting method, this exceptional sculpture showcases the remarkable attention to detail for which Escar UK Bronze is renowned. Every flowing muscle, finely sculpted feather and elegant contour has been carefully modelled to create a truly breathtaking work of bronze art.
Finished with a subtle light and dark brown patination, the carefully applied colouring enhances the depth, movement and realism of the sculpture, bringing the majestic winged horse vividly to life.
