Bronze Fox : Fox Head with a Rabbit
Hollow Cast Bronze Fox Head with Rabbit Sculpture
Introducing the striking Fox Head with a Rabbit hollow cast bronze sculpture, created by renowned bronze artist John Cox of Escar UK Bronze
Beautifully sculpted as a detailed study of a British fox, this distinctive bronze artwork captures the animal’s alert expression and finely modelled features while holding a rabbit in its jaws, portraying a natural moment from the countryside with remarkable realism
Expertly crafted using the traditional Lost Wax Bronze Casting method, this hollow cast bronze sculpture showcases exceptional craftsmanship, from the finely textured fur and expressive eyes to the carefully sculpted details that bring the piece vividly to life
Finished with a rich brown patination with subtle highlights, the carefully applied colouring enhances the intricate textures and natural contours of the sculpture, adding warmth, depth and character
Measuring approximately 39cm high x 18cm wide x 25cm deep and weighing around 6 kilos, the Bronze Fox Head with a Rabbit is ideally suited for display on tables, shelves, desks or within country homes and wildlife collections
A superb celebration of British wildlife and traditional bronze craftsmanship, this distinctive sculpture captures the strength, intelligence and natural instincts of one of Britain’s most iconic countryside animals
How does the rabbit change the story told by this bronze fox head sculpture?
The rabbit turns the fox head from a portrait into a hunting scene, showing the fox carrying prey in its jaws. It directs attention towards the mouth and changes the mood of the sculpture from watchfulness to an event in countryside life. Close viewing reveals the relationship between the two animals
