Bronze Red Deer Stags : Fighting Pair

Hollow Cast Bronze Fighting Red Deer Stag Sculpture : The Rut

Red Deer Fighting Stags : The Rut, is a magnificent pair of life-size hollow cast bronze sculptures, created by renowned bronze artist John Cox of Escar UK Bronze. Beautifully capturing one of Britain’s most dramatic wildlife spectacles, these powerful stags portray two evenly matched rivals locked in battle during the annual rutting season, perfectly depicting the raw strength, instinct and determination of the natural world

Expertly created using the traditional Lost Wax Bronze Casting Method, these exceptional sculptures showcase the outstanding craftsmanship for which Escar UK Bronze is renowned. Every carefully branching antler, sculpted muscle, straining neck and dynamic movement, has been faithfully reproduced with remarkable precision, creating an extraordinary sense of realism, tension and controlled power

Finished with a beautifully blended beige, brown and black patination, the sculptures possess exceptional depth, realism and natural character. The carefully applied finish enhances the texture of each stag’s coat while highlighting their magnificent antlers and powerful physiques, bringing this dramatic woodland encounter vividly to life

Each stag stands approximately 110cm high, 107cm wide and 260cm long, and weighs around 250 kilos, with their combined weight approximately 500 kilos. Together they create a breathtaking centrepiece for parkland, country estates, wildlife parks, landscaped gardens and prestigious commercial developments, where their dramatic interaction can be admired from every angle

Celebrating the majesty and untamed spirit of Britain’s largest native deer, Red Deer Fighting Stags the The Rut is far more than a decorative bronze sculpture. It is a monumental work of bronze art that captures a fleeting moment of nature with exceptional realism, making it an outstanding investment for collectors, wildlife enthusiasts and admirers of fine bronze craftsmanship

What scene does the Bronze Fighting Stag Pair capture?

The fighting stags depict the red deer rut, with two males locked in combat through their antlers. Their opposing bodies make the struggle the centre of the composition. As this a large paired installation where each stag is 260cm long and the pair weigh around 500 kilos, they require careful positioning and appropriate support
